Selfish world.

I have never realized until lately how incredibly selfish we all are. Do we ever really think about anyone at all but ourselves? I think it's a shame when we really think about it, we spend soo much time being focused on ourselves and our little "problems", that we don't recognize everyone else's needs around us that are so much greater. Rarely do we ask others how they are REALLY doing, cause honestly we don't care. We just want to vent to someone else about our own problems, we want someone to make us feel better. Anyways, my point is that our world is so completely selfish and we are so consumed with ourselves that it's ridiculous. If we gave 1/3 of the money that we spend on shopping or whatever, and sponsored a child from another country, think about how great that would be. It doesn't seem like such a big deal to us, but to the child who receives that money, it's everything. We need to all just really stop and think about our priorities, and maybe we should learn that we have got it really good, maybe we should help out someone who doesn't. Just something to think on, I know I'm going to try to be more aware of others who are hurting and try to give more of myself to others instead of always being completely focused on myself and what I want. Don't be so worried about your plans and everything going on in life, God has got it under control, and his plans for you are greater than yours could ever be. Challenge for the week: Instead of buying a new outfit or going out to eat this week, use that money towards something good, give it to someone who really needs it, or use that money to do something nice for someone.
