Hey all!
So, Dead week is officially over, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I only have 3 finals next week, so it won't be too bad. *Sigh* School has worn me out, it's just crazy. I'm ready for a break for a few weeks and then summer school! whoo, gotta love it. I just keep telling myself it will be worth it though when I get to graduate a year early next May if all goes as planned! Shoo, can't wait. I don't mean to rush my life, sometimes I feel like I am, but sometimes I just see it as starting my real life sooner, the life I have always wanted. I can't wait to have a job that I love, helping other people.
Anyways, so here's the news:
I'm becoming a vegeterian.
Okay, let me re-phrase that. I am going to TRY to become a vegeterian. And no, I'm not really doing it so much because of animal cruelty and all that, even though that is part of it; I'm doing it for health reasons, so I can get my cholesterol levels down. They've always been high, so I have been researching and tons of people have said that being a vegeterian helped them reduce their cholesterol levels dramatically. Just pray it works.
I went grocery shopping earlier today, after just going Wednesday because I had to return some chicken and turkey that I had bought Wednesday that I will no longer be needed, I suppose. So anyways, as I was going up and down the aisles trying to figure out what the heck I CAN eat, I realized this was going to be a lot harder than I thought! Not only is it hard because there's not very many protein options for vegeterians, but also I have to take Russell into consideration. We don't eat together that much, but when we do eat together, I'll feel bad not being able to cook him meat or whatever. Oh well, it'll be good for him lol.
Well, tomorrow is "Tacky Prom" with Campus Crusade, so me and a few friends are gonna go to Goodwill and pick out some tacky things and then go eat somewhere. I really do hate dressing tacky though, it really irks me and messes with my OCD. Ah well, have a fab weekend everyone!
xoxo,
Rachel
